P0014 Timing Over Advanced (Actuator Stuck)

The worrying code that usually has a happy ending.

A fault code that states “timing over advanced” immediately sets alarm bells ringing , but in most cases this is not due to Stretched Timing Chains. JLR Ingenium Engines manufactured before August 2018 can suffer from faulty VVT Solenoids, causing the timing to become over advanced.

Once correctly diagnosed this is relatively easy and cost effective repair, replacing the old solenoids with new upgraded versions.
